Traveling through France on a jaunt across Europe, or as your only destination for gay vacations for singles or couples, France is a trip that everyone should experience at least once. With snowcapped alps, the magnificent French Riviera, world famous art collections, pristine beaches, pastoral landscapes dotted with medieval castles, villages and ruins that tell the story of Frances diverse history, and the truly exquisite cosmopolitan city of Paris, travelers are sure to find exactly what they are looking for when visiting this unique country.

Gay vacations often center around Paris and its vibrant LGBT community, cultural and historical landmarks and accepting cosmopolitan environment, visitors will find that throughout France there is plenty to do and see, as well as many LGBT establishments and a welcoming atmosphere. Laws outlawing sodomy were abolished over 200 years ago and Frances LGBT community has enjoyed civil unions for the last decade. With legal protections in place and a general laissez-faire attitude that is common among the French, visitors will find that France provides an accepting and safe gay tours.

Numerous community events take place across the country throughout the year, including several pride festivals and a very well-attended pride parade and festival and gay and lesbian film festival in Paris. Some unique establishments to check out while in Paris on a gay vacation include the Marais district LGBT-owned bakery, Legay Choc; the ArtMenParis exhibit of all-male images; and Madame Arthur, LArtishow and Chez Michou, three cabarets with female impersonators and drag shows. Paris nightlife is lively, with bars open from afternoon until 2am and clubs opening at midnight, and often staying open until noon.

For men who are interested in experiencing the bawdier side of Parisian life, sex clubs, cruising spots and bars with backrooms are easy to find for visitors on gay vacations. Paris is also home to a plethora of saunas, also known as bathhouses, which are popular attractions for both locals and visitors. Saunas are not open 24-hours in France and do not have private rooms to rent. For privacy, visitors can enjoy relaxation cubicles and out-of-towners should keep in mind that going to a sauna is a primarily afternoon activity in Paris, with Sunday afternoons being the most crowded.

Most gay vacation spots cater largely to men, have little to no visible lesbian presence and offer few establishments dedicated to the lesbian community. Women will be delighted to discover that this is not the case in Paris. Parisian lesbians and visitors enjoy a multitude of venues and organizations that can be found throughout the city, but particularly in the neighborhoods of Marais, Grands Boulevards, Halles-Beaubourg, Saint Germain des Pres and Palais Royal. Palais Royal is home to one of the oldest lesbian bars in Paris, while the Bastille-Republique district has a delightful community bookstore with a distinct Sapphic flare. There is also a lesbian walking group and even a sex shop that caters solely to women.

Although Paris might be the most visited gay vacation destination in France, many other options are available throughout the country, including Avignon in Provence, Montpellier and Nice on the Mediterranian coast, Annecy in the Alps, Nantes in Brittany and the nude community beaches of Camargue. For those who hope to rub elbows with the rich and famous, Saint Tropez on the French Riviera should not be missed, while those looking for a romantic retreat might opt for an LGBT-owned B … B outside of Bourdeaux. With so many gay vacations in 2010 to choose from, France is truly an ideal setting for gay romance travel.

Busting Psychic Reading Myths

Written on February 27th, 2010 by Tana Hoyno shouts

The technique of psychic reading has often been a very questionable topic. Why, you may ask. Straight forward, there is no common sense and logical explanation behind the ways of a psychic reading — but then, many individuals have faith in its mystical ways.

We cannot deny that doubt has always encased the psychic realm; and the fact that details given toeach person typically gets altered somewhere along the way. So with this said, the fact is, not all that we hear about psychic ideas are legitimate.

So what is the reality behind the psychic reading concept? Let us now correct the wrong ideas of this psychic concept, so that everyone will see the clear picture once and for all. Here are some common psychic reading myths that have been lingering since time immemorial:

3 Common Myths About Psychic Readings:

1. PSYCHIC READING IS JUST MERE MAKE BELIEVE OR WISHFUL THINKING. They are saying that psychic readers know a lot of how a psychologist performs and that to please a person, you have to give a great psychic reading to him or her and that the particular person would then \”make believe\” that it is all authentic. Basically, a reading is all a \”state of mind\” — when an individual is told by a psychic about what\’s going to happen, an individual will tend to feel in that, and in turn, it will make the reading materialize. This information is so false! The truth of the matter is, a psychic reading can result in either positive or negative, and in either case, the psychic reader will explain it to the person being read, and give the communicating advice on what to do about the situation.

2. A PSYCHIC READING IS A COLD READING. When a person to be read enters the psychic\’s room, the psychic would then try to look at and evaluate the elements that he can with that particular person. Generally, a cold reading will involve making conclusions or lucky guesses about a person from what you can clearly observe. But so you know, psychics do not do cold readings. These people have special gifts that enable them to obtain information about a particular person through extrasensory means, even if the person is not in the same place with them!

3. THE RESULTS IN A PSYCHIC READING ARE JUST MADE UP. They say that psychics tell everything most likely to happen to a person, gives the condition on how it will be brought, and that if it does not come true, it is because the person did not follow the conditions. More like advertisements of shampoos. But just like the two earlier mentioned myths, this one is also not true. Psychic reading is based on the aura or the energy of the person. Only psychics can see these things. But if the reality of it is in question, then just try it to make the experience the answer.

There are many other myths about psychic readings, there are even some silly ideas like getting a reading will jinx your good luck, and so on. Skeptics can device hundreds of wrong beliefs if they must. However, they still could not disprove the reality and the reliability of psychic reading.

Unfortunately, simply because of the many misconceptions about the psychic realm, many of us do not believe in its ways. But then, come to think of it, there is no harm in trying to seek a psychic reading for yourself. As they say, the only way to uncover the truth, is to know it first hand.

Psychic Development 101: Becoming Grounded

Written on February 23rd, 2010 by Nadine Langloisno shouts

If you\’re seriously interested in your psychic development, then the first step towards developing your psychic abilities more in depth is to develop the skill of getting grounded. If you are unaware of psychic grounding, think about electricity. Circuits must be grounded to the earth. As you make use of your psychic ability, you are effectively becoming a circuit – a psychic circuit. Maybe you have heard the term \”She seems so well grounded\”? This typically refers to an individual who is steady and relaxed. That is the intention of grounding. If you dive into the psychic world, grounding allows you to stabilize yourself and discharge any kind of adverse energy and feelings that you may have been storing inside you.

There are numerous variations of the grounding technique, and grounding can be carried out almost anywhere and at any time. For the purposes of this lesson, we\’ll discuss grounding while you are meditating. To begin with, sit comfortably in a chair, ideally with your back straight and your feet flat on the floor, palms down on your knees. Breathe in and out slowly and deeply watching your breath. Some people find it effective to breath in for a count of 1-2-3-4, hold their breath for a count of 1-2 and then release at a count of 1-2-3-4. Do what feels most comfortable to you – there isn\’t a right or wrong approach. One word of advice is to breath from your belly and not the chest.

Following that, shut your eyes and imagine in your mind the area of your first chakra, which is at the base of the spine. Picture a column of light and energy extending from that first chakra down through the ground all the way to the center of the earth. This column is hollow, such as a pipe. Seek to imagine a thick energy cord at least 3-6 inches in size. A skinny energy cord is not really as effective as a grounding device. This column can be any color you want. Gold or white is an excellent color. Green can also be good for beginners.

Once you have this cord clearly visualized going to the center of the earth, while you inhale, visualize pure energy coming up from the earth via your grounding cord and traveling upward through the body. When you exhale out, think of the earth\’s core sucking out any kind of negative energy or impurities through your body.

Once you initially start grounding, it will take a few moments to go through the actual steps. Nonetheless, when you become adept, you can ground anytime, anywhere. You will be able to ground when you are taking walks, while you are driving – even when you are on an airplane. When you find yourself done grounding, picture your current grounding cord basically dissolving.

Grounding is the most essential step on the path to psychic development. Practice grounding every day and you are well on your way to building up your psychic abilities.

Gay Conscious Tours

Written on February 13th, 2010 by Howie Holbenno shouts

Our lives can get very hectic. Job, family, commuting, health issues, etc can all weigh us down to the point of feeling lost. Our mental and physical health requires that we take a break from it all once in awhile. Luckily, we have countless vacation options these days.

There are solo vacations, or vacations that include family or a small group of friends. Travelling with people that share your interests and life experience, is another way to go. This is where gay spirituality exploration becomes important for the gay community.

On gay vacations, that fact that we are gay is one thing we all share. Knowing that we all have at one thing in common adds to our vacation and our time together. We can quickly create bonds within the group because of this commonality.

People we have just met can quickly become friends and confidants. This makes gay vacations all the more special and meaningful. We\’re able to share our gay vacations experience with others that we know understand us.

Being understood allows us to open up, relax more and let our guard down. This vulnerability lets more of the vacation into our hearts and minds. The more we feel the vacation, the more we recover from the strains of life at home.

A vacation with men and women that also share our intentions for the vacation deepens our sense of recovery. Spiritually connecting to the world around us and to ourselves is one shared intention. Now we share two important things, our gay spirit and a desire to grow spiritually.

Visiting sacred sites all over the world on gay holidays combined with a desire to grow spiritually can open doors never before seen. With other group members helping us, we can face old fears and become a little freer. And isn\’t feeling freer the main goal of a vacation?

En-Lightening Experience, 1977

Written on February 4th, 2010 by Bobbi Landfriedno shouts

I met Jay in June 1977 when he came to our home to meet my husband, a well known certified hypnotherapist. Jay was hoping to be able to study under him. As an astrologer, I asked him for his date, time and place of birth so I could do him a chart. After about a minute I made a startling discovery and returned to tell him what I had found. I think Jay found this a little strange but I said to him, Something special is going to happen to you soon. You will be guided there and this experience will change your life and someone you know will be there to observe.

Eventually, Jay met my husband and they worked together for some time. Jay had some blood pressure and stress issues so they did three hypnosis sessions together to sort the problem. Afterwards, they started to study together and Lee gave Jay perhaps seven to ten books per week to read; ever expanding Jays mind on cultures and beliefs, mind sciences and cult influences, and much more. He also recommended classes; the Loving Relationship Training by Sondra Lee and a series by Theta Seminars on Metaphysics.

Jay began to attend a class called Spiritual Psychology taught by a husband and wife team from Missouri. They had been into natural healing, natural childbirth with doctors and absolutely unique notions for a period in time.

Most of Jays friends thought he was crazy to be attending classes like that on weekends instead of water skiing, boating, enjoying life, playing with women at bars, or just getting drunk like some of his clients. But, Jay was content with studying Metaphysics and Healing.

It was at the second Theta Seminar that the special event occurred. It was August 1977 and Jay was in the classroom which was in a loft on 22nd Street in New York City. In the class, they had discussed the cycles of birth and death and their influence on the soul. They did some breathing, meditation and thinking about their own birth.

Jay remembered that his was traumatic, as his mother had gone into a coma and he was born two months premature. Then, he suddenly realized that he was meant to be born early; his weight was already 8 lbs. 15 ounces and his mother was very tiny at 411 to handle the Big Guy coming into the world.

He was able to forgive himself for wearing out his mother at birth with his size and weight. He forgave his mother for falling unconscious at his birth and missing his first two weeks of life on Earth. What an experience it was for him. Feeling the forgive-ness made Jay feel lighter.

The next part of the class was the chanting and rocking session. Jay was still feeling that lightness as the group of six in his team began elevating and rocking him to music and chants. One at a time, the team was lifting each person up and then rocking the fully elevated person before slowly returning them to the ground.

Back then Jay weighed 280 pounds and there they were, trying to get him up in the air. He felt as light as a feather, totally relaxed as he was rocked back and forth. During the session the window was open and suddenly a strange cool-damp breeze came through into the room, exactly where they were rocking Jay. A bolt of what appeared to be lightning hit Jay at the top of his head. The group pulled their hands away and he floated back down to the ground.

Jay slowly opened his eyes and touched the top of his head. It felt warm. As he sat up, he was amazed to see me standing over him, looking at him. He remembered what I had said to him when we first met, And someone you know will be there to observe. Jay closed his eyes and his head was filled with ideas and formulas and concepts and the words just know that you know.

From that moment, he knew the past, present and the future. He foresaw floods, tornados, the economic crisis of 2007- on … he was frightened, but understood. He knew about others just by looking at their faces, their eyes or from their handwriting. And there is so much more that he knew he would come know.

The question for Jay in all of this is, if there is so much that he knows, then how can he use it to help everyone throughout the rest of his life?

Psychic Ability 101: Understanding the Clairvoyant Gift

Written on January 30th, 2010 by Tana Hoyno shouts

Rare are cases where a person sees things beyond the normal sense of sight or all the normal senses at all. We cannot easily see what is beyond the physical world. But with a psychic, this is just like \”another day at the office\”. Seeing things beyond our five normal senses is one of the precious psychic ability that they posses.

One popular psychic ability, is the gift of clairvoyance. Clairvoyance, from the French terms \”clair\” meaning, \”clear\” and \”voyance\” meaning \”vision\”, refers to a psychic ability that enables a person to gain information about an object, person, location or physical event through extrasensory means.

Many even refer to clairvoyance as the sixth sense, because a person with this psychic ability seems to have an extra sense on top of the five human senses. There are also some who call this psychic ability as the \”third eye\”; a figurative illustration to the literal ability to see what is unseen. Also, the clairvoyant psychic ability can also be referred as \”remote viewing\”, because a person with this gift can see things regardless of time and space.

The clairvoyant psychic ability can come in two types — it can either be voluntary, or involuntary. Now you might wonder, what\’s the difference among these tow? Involuntary clairvoyance is when the psychic gets visions out of the blue, spontaneously, or unintentionally. In other words, the information about object, person, location or physical event, just comes to a person — this can either be through visions, or dreams.

For you to have a definite picture of the distinction between the two types of clairvoyance i will provide you with a brief description of being a voluntary clairvoyant. If a certain psychic willingly uses his/her psychic gift of clairvoyance for the purpose of providing information about an object, person, location or physical event. This usually happen when a person consults a psychic for a psychic reading. In general, the most common things that they consult a psychic is about the past, present, and future as a whole.

Being a clairvoyant is a gift like no other and is extremely unique in every aspect. There are no definite explanations to this gift but it is a reality that is most often questioned by people mostly associated with science. Although some are doubtful, others have great faith in the psychic gift of clairvoyance and in psychics. A gift that has stood the test of time and has established its reputation.

Clairvoyance works through forces which cannot be measured by any barometers or devices. These forces are often called energy. The person capable of receiving or controlling this psychic ability will conjure the energy around it, center it to himself and \”read\” from it or see what he desire to see. The involuntary type is similar with a slight difference of not exerting effort to see what a person wants to see instead it occurs spontaneously.

This may sound weird at first but once tried and tested, you will see that it is true and that it works. You may not also really comprehend it with such a brief explanation for words, like science also has limitations. But this is clairvoyance, and this is real.

Tana Hoy was born with his psychic gift and he has shown many people how to develop their psychic ability. Visit his website, www.tanahoy.com to learn more about how to develop your psychic ability.
