Anxiety has become a great issue in our lives brought on by many factors in our surroundings and within us. Too much stress could lead to anxiety. Properly managing one’s anxieties can lead to simply one thing, a happier life.

1. Psychoanalysis – This insight therapy is applied to help people cope with anxiety. This is uncovering and being familiar with what makes you anxious. Once you get to know the stressor that makes you anxious, you make an effort to process and handle your anxieties.
2. Meditation – makes you relaxed by thinking on positive thoughts, usually with closed eyes. Reflecting on good energies will aid you in having a calm state of mind.
3. Exercise – In handling anxiety, perform daily exercises in order to build a higher tolerance to stress. In the end, higher tolerance and endurance levels against stress would make stress very manageable. Daily exercise fills our body with positive energy.
4. Sleep – This is very important because our body needs rest. Sleeping at least 8 hours per day allows you to go through the day better prepared to tackle the tasks at hand without anxiety.
5. Taking a Break – Our bodies are not filled with infinite energy, as we all need to have a break once in a while to become positive towards life again. A 15 minute power nap after lunch is a good example of this.
6. Diet – A well balanced diet is a must for everyone. It is better that you always hydrate your body by drinking lots of water. Eat more fresh fruits and vegetables and less fast foods. Foods high in caffeine and sugar should be avoided because the contribute to physical anxiety symptoms like headaches and abdominal cramps.
7. Attitude – Thinking positively could easily help us perform all of the previous six steps in order to relieve anxiety from our lives. So, having the right mindset is our best weapon in overcoming anxiety.
